Comodo Internet Security has a firewall as well. I use the firewall with avast making an amazing duo of the programs.

I've almost always used AVG, I think it's a fairly decent AV

Thanks to here I found Avast xD I was using AVG but the latest update slows down my laptop so much when it is scanning I decided to give Avast a try and it works pretty well so far I guess. Quick question though, I've also installed MSE on my laptop. Does having both Avast and MSE err creates any problems. I re-called in the past my laptop would warn me if I had more than 1 AV installed but I think I disabled it or something. So is it okay to have both Avast and MSE at the same time?

it is generally a bad idea to have more than one antivirus. The exception is when one of them is clamav, which does not have a resident shield and only scans when it is told to.

So...I should un-install my MSE then?

I have MSE and Avast! (I think MSE was an automatic update or something), and the two don't appear to conflict with each other. They don't consider each other viruses, they don't freak out when you scan, it seems to work pretty much flawlessly.

I use Avast free in my home and Avast incorporated in my job, it's very useful.
Also don't forget to get a anti-spyware, such as malware bytes and thing.

Right, this one is so good, it don't give many false positives and is very accurate.
