Liverpool's midfield doesnt look creative enough with only gerrard to provide the killer passs, and shots torres NEEDS someone like Alonso to slice open the opposition midfield, and provide a nice ball to Torres's foot.

I am actually interested to see what aquilani can do for liverpool. He will never be as good as xabi, but it'll be cool if he fits into the club. If it was one person I'd want on Manchester United team from Liverpool, it would be xabi. He could cross, pass well, take shots and free kicks. He was just the ideal attacking mid.

liverpool have no chance of winning this season... last season is the best chance they'll get for a while.

we will win it, then we will make history by winning it 10 times in a row:)

You wont win it, as much as I'd love for someone to end the duopoly of Man U/Chelsea, I cant see it happening this season and certainly not by liverpool, you have no strength in depth and once again will be relying on Gerrard and Torres, I think liverpool may even struggle for 5th, never mind 4th, with both Man City and Tottenham having very strong squads.

Finally. Liverpool end their long run of erm...1 loss,
    that lasted erm...3 days.

Come on people, Liverpool have a history of performing poor on opening day,
yet people have already written them off. Yeah...clever ::)

    It's a pity he's a defensive midfielder then eh? ;)

    Man Utd 0-1 Burnley

    Result seems fair enough
Burnley looked quite offensive in the opening minutes of the game, and United couldnt convert their posession/chances into goals...

    Nice work by Burnley

If Arsenal play similar to the 2007-2008 season minus the inconsistancy atfter the christmas matches have a strong chance of winning the league this year

    yeah.

    the only weakness is inconsistency...
hope they will overcome the problem this year....
