I'm more concerned about him mentioning the F-ball. Do you own a pure acrylic/stage ball yet?
Joking aside, welcome to RomU. I was once a lurker like you, but then I started making *some* posts. This is a great community, and I hope you enjoy your stay.

no acryllic ball yet... I don't wanna spend the money and then drop and scratch it so I have a regular stage ball for now

If you read around on the Dot Org, you'll see that a lot of people encourage dropping your first acrylic at least once to get rid of the stress, but I can understand not wanting to dish out $40+ for a scratched ball. I wouldn't worry too much if I were you, though. If what I know about UCSC is true, then there's plenty of grass to safely drop an acrylic. The ball could get some tiny scratches, but nothing visible unless you press it against your face.

Also, I think I'm one of the relatively few contact jugglers who prefers stage balls over acrylics. I've only been doing this for a little over two months, so I'm by no means experienced, but I feel that stage balls offer the possibility of more dynamic movements than an acrylic. Now I should stop. This is RomU, not Dot Org. XD
