    No matter what you use, a torrent is a torrent. You don't know what you're getting until you open it up...

    True but if you use a private tracker with scene releases it unlikely. It could be similar to downloading any software in a zip file. Don't know what you are getting until you open it, or even download it.

    Like what I said earlier and someone else just said, limit the sources in which you get your torrents.

    The only way you can get a virus from a torrent is if you download from a public tracker, from a complete nobody (ie. no marks of VIP status), failed to read any of the comments or check filesizes, and proceed to download anyway.

    Like I said before, it boils down to how much of an idiot a person is.

    Been downloading torrents for years... never got a virus from one

    I've always used Windows.... I still use it now because it's just what I'm used to
