Actually, my first model was a Destiny Gundam (sick first one, I know) and I had to paint everything. The wings were a pain, and I had to paint in intervals so I could dry the paint and paint different sides without smudging everything else.

Your looking at my first kit (in avatar)...

    1/144 scale.

Can you spot what is wrong with him-other than lack of paint XD

I want to buy one of these....robots
I don't mind painting it myself, but I don't want any stupid ass looking one.
I also won't spend that much on my first, so Master and Purrfect grades are out of the question.

What are the first grade models like?
    Thanks

First grades are those in the 00 line. Exia, Kyrios, Dynames and virtue. They don't cost as much, posing are minimum as well. Weaponry also quite little, they don't give you all the weapons

    Size of an action figure?

Ethier First grade or High grade

    Scale is 1/144.

First grade same as HG...but easier-like 4 parts to snap in XD

Hg is my prefferance-takes an hour at most.

Master grade is alot..they have screws in them...

I only made the arms and legs of my "master" gundam.

I bought a HG. Sandrock Custom or something.
Put it together today. Pretty flimsy.
Yes I know they're not meant to be treated like toys,
but you can't even adjust the pose without bits falling off.
    Plus, stickers = fail.

It was fun though. Next time I think I'll splash out on a Master or Perfect grade...

I've done a lot 1/100 and a few 1/144 scale in the Gundam Wing line a few years ago, biggest one I tackled was a 1/60 Perfect Grade Gundam Wing Zero Custom it was so awesome when I got it done, wished I still had it but a guy seen it and bought it off of me for near what I paid for it.

Tried to post a boxshot but here is the link instead: http://www.hlj.com/product/BAN77659

Cheapest PG I saw in Malaysia is RM650 (Around 190.75 USD apparently)
Its a Wing Zero Custom I remember.

Gundam Modeling, that sounds awesome!! I live in a kind of small town so we dont have much here. The best for modeling i can get is a whack load of popsicle sticks. Other then that i've made small Gundams off of www.cubeecraft.com (Yes, there are 2 E's).
