more fool them then. norton is the first thing to go when my dad's employer gets a new computer for the business (mind since I set the computers up that might have something to do with it :p)

I usually scan my files before putting them in-guess I missed a few...

BTW-I'm keeping AVG-just got the full one...Once i locate some stuff...

    [me=mds64]got help from an expert hacker/ex pirate[/me]

Another friend suggested that NOD 32 but with a full AVg I might consider having both running-unless they conflict (please tell me NOW) I see no harm.

Wow...I started another anti virus debate XD

Norton and McAfee are pre-installed with most of the laptops I buy, best to deal with that problem quickly and efficiently.
That Norton has the most complaints against it,slowing down and locking up peoples computers. Some Norton users were a bit happier when the 2009 version came out,but look at what your paying/getting compared with KIS.

MDS,two AV running at same time, are you Crazy LOL.

Norton is sucks, horribly slowdown your computer, especially the Latest one.

and I agree with you Loony, I have tried to give my opinion to one of the Supervisor there regarding their AV but they just ignore it,
thankfully, I'm only at there for about 1 and half months...

Their computers startup is VERY-BERY-VERY slow, and how do I get specific document in time!!... *sigh*

Thank god I bring my own Laptop with the Kaspersky IS installed. ;D

and, I have tried 2 AV runnnin on a same PC, IT WORK REALLY GREAT!! THEY KILL TROJAN WITHOUT MERCY!!!

nah... i'm kidding, THE TROJAN WILL KILL YOUR AV FIRST BEFORE IT CAN DO ANY ACTION. ;D XD

LOL,we know how "tight" you are-trying to avoid paying Dealextreme $8 for a Pandora.

Ive got patches for every KIS/KAV,but Ill still buy a proper kit LOL.If I like a companies product,Ill buy it so the money goes towards future product improooooovement.

I preety much do the same-though I rather not even bother with a cracked anti virus-on a friends pc it detected trojans that I wouldn't have even known...

And I might have bought the battery if you didn't kindly send it XD

You could have still went and did an online scan-only from a reputable place though.I test a lot of software myself and anything Ive not used,I ask a few security people I know for their opinions.
Have you download SAS and MBAM yet, they are 2 x very good programs,or are they LOL

    SAS-MBAM ???

    Full names please...bad memory :(

And I got a new mate who can do those scans-I'm also thinking of NOD32 again...slow but it does the trick.

Apparently-and don't need registry cleaners ethier XD

Multiple AVs are not recommended because they can interfere with each other.

ehh... so much to think about with PCs... I should so just switch to linux and not worry about all this crap

SO I ran Avira and it came up with 9 trojans that AVG never noticed and one that AVG said it'd removed

I used to use AVG for about half a year (I think), I hated it, can't be bothered explaining why. I now use NOD32, it's great, I can actually click on ignore now without it popping back up every 10 seconds, good detection rates too.

Went round to fix my cousin's randomly crashing computer a while back, he had 5 AV packages installed, 1 of which was a fake. Cleaned it all up and impressed on him that he should stick to one, and then keep it updated!

    So NOD32 is the best?

When my mate FINNALLY gives me a copy I'll switch.

Until then-might as well use the full AVG :)
