He thinks I'm stupid and that I'm an idiot.

Can't you just contact the makers of the ad to say they remove the sound?

Why would you even want to view ads in the first place? Do you know that most ads place tracking cookies that potentially compromise your privacy? Do you really want all that bullshit on your computer which broadcasts all your activity back to the advertisers?

This has nothing to do with me "being a douche" (by the way, it's D-O-U-C-H-E! Learn how to spell, you fucking idiot!) I'm simply preaching common sense. Internet ads nowadays are more dangerous as they pose security risks to your machine. Tracking cookies are one such hazard, as your activity is broadcasted back to the advertisers, thus compromising your privacy. Others can be more serious, such as embedded trojans which can steal your passwords!

But do go ahead and ignore my warnings for all I care. Have fun with your ads. And at the same time, you can also have fun with tracking cookies, and trojan horses plaguing your computer.

some adds are interesting (flash games) its not like i click on anything, and even if i did...
thats why i use three different cpus ar-tard.
1-the guinea pig:use this to test out software, write code, try out programs (no internet)
2-the brain: use it mostly for the internet (i never give out real info, and don't care if my accounts get stolen as they are most likely spam)
3-the accountant: for buying things on the internet and for school.
I think your just being a bit too paranoid.
And your the fucking idiot edited: i fucked up and admit it...sorry i don't know how to spell your name
Thats why systems are made (pirated) so you can erase your computer completely to your hearts content, dumb ass...

Before I go on and tear you a new asshole, thatonemexicanguy, I think I should give you a fair warning for you to follow from this point on should you EVER think about getting into future altercations with me. With that said, you probably should never argue with me unless you are 110% CERTAIN that you are right and I am wrong (in which, the latter is very rare.)

Let's start with the spelling issue. I know you just edited your post, but too bad. I'm still going to rip on it anyway as you have tried to rip on me.

From your original post (before you edited it):
You sure showed me there, thatonemexicanguy! Looks like I better watch my ass whenever I'm dealing with a moron like you! A fun website for you to read as well: http://women.emedtv.com/douche/deuche.html

As for the rest of the so-called points you've made:
Oh, so I must own three computers for those supposed purposes, just like you? What if that isn't an option for everyone, especially for those people who are limited via financially or physical space to place those three workstations? And if you think erasing your computers frequently is great, then I suppose you have plenty of free time on your hands, as you would have to reinstall not just the OS, but all the OS updates and service packs, as well as other necessary software that you need that you use on those machines.

If you think my solution is "paranoid", then I must say your solution is overkill and expensive in terms of money and time. Don't get me wrong, as I make ~$60k/year at my full-time job, but even I wouldn't pull off your stupid, inefficient solution.

By the way, I also own a desktop, and a laptop. Both configured exactly the same way, especially with protective software. Which is nice as I can safely transfer my work between those two computers easily, unlike your cruddy setup.

Also, here's a good read for you as you have a difficult time distinguishing between your and you're.

You think very highly of yourself. (you have a big ego)
You are rarely wrong, thats a laugh. :D
I did edit my answer before this answer, read before you say shit.
(yet, you didn't include the part, were I included (admitted) my wrongdoing)
And where exactly do you live, maybe I can tear you a new one.
How are you so sure you can beat me?, if I haven't even met you (fought).
    {fyi, muscles & training doesn't necessarily mean stronger if thats what your getting at}
Obviously taking the douche thing to literal. ::)
I'm not assuming people have three or more cpu's, I am simply stating that you are paranoid about ads,and maybe even the government or other things as well.
And that you choose to have plenty of other software, which is not needed, because as stated before, I can just switch off the audio -_- or other plug-ins (but I choose to keep them up rather than block them as some are fun)
(fyi it takes only 35 min to completely install windows xp for me)
Hey maybe you think the topic is pointless, but some people, like me, enjoy some ads (and choose to criticize others)
The internet dood... get on-board; write whatever, whenever, and however you like, as long as people understand you.
    (your just being an idiot)
I don't think highly of myself, but I am a bit wealthy, not to show off or anything, (I do not think less of people, I actually help them out in times of need) but even though I am, I can choose which pop-ups to block which is the point. -_-
(and you should not say anything about me, unless you know me)

I say this because apperantly you think I believe I'm cool because I have 3 computers. ::)
All I have ever seen you do is challenge people, so why are you here?, just to tell us how smart we are?.
    EDIT:
enemies update list as of today:

Better then your logic anyways. Your logic is twisted and broken down.
But on topic, I've never seen an Ad in years.

alright whatever, your just on his side because you think hes cool...(I really could care less)
the way you present yourself leads me to believe that you have not read or fully understand, my conversation with hyper.
You just see a face, and automatically choose to side with him, without examining the facts.
I was wrong in some areas and as noted, I know this.

*cough* You judge me wrong then. I for one never reply without reading all the text, that's why I said I couldn't comprehend your wall of text, because it's so messy.

I can see that I have worked you over too hard. You're rambling desperately in a pitiful attempt to make yourself look better, even though you are still a moron.

Me think highly of myself? Not quite so, as most of the people that have provoked me here so far (including you) on Romulation Forums possess an IQ that's in the double digits. To me, this whole thing is like me spanking stupid kids for doing stupid things, so that way, they don't grow up and turn out like you. Funny thing is that my original purpose to be on this thread wasn't to challenge anyone (as you have presumed.) I simply wanted to let people know that they shouldn't be messing with internet ads in the first place!

By the way, thanks for telling me that it takes 35 minutes to reinstall Windows XP, but as I had already pointed out, you have to factor in the time it takes to install all the Windows Updates and Service Packs as well as other software you use on that machine, which can take hours to do. Not many people have that much time, or the luxury to do that frequently. As a busy man myself, I certainly do not have the time to dick around with reformatting my PC, unless I have to.

And if you think I'm paranoid regarding ads, it's because I don't have the time to dick around with trojans and tracking cookies infecting my machines. I use my computer and laptop for every computer-related purpose, whether it's working on a simulation on LabVIEW or MATLAB, checking my e-mail from my work accounts, or going on here to lambast morons like you. For you to tell me, or anyone, that I am (or they are) paranoid of ads, is just plain stupid. I already pointed out the reasons why the internet ads that you play around with are potentially hazardous to your security and privacy, but being the fucktard that you are, you choose to dismiss my warnings and act like a smartass to me (hence why people like ME come here to smash your face in with common sense!)

By the way, you still haven't corrected your original post here where I have quoted you spelling douche wrong. Time for me to throw the "read before you say shit" ball back in your court, idiot.

sorry I could not accommodate everybody (I will try to examine and bold responses to questions/arguments from now on).
thats not the point though...the conversation is between me and him, and he understands.

here...second page...I said i admitted I was wrong when stating you wrote the exact same thing.
Windows XP has the option of automatically installing the necessary Updates and software that I need. (maybe 40min but nothing more)
People do not have the privilege?, well thats why theres people who help.
I would gladly help if someone asked me how to get rid of viruses or install new system software -__-
go read or do homework while it finishes up, free time, ask a neighbor or friend...not that hard to do.
(so your afraid of viruses, because it takes you precious time.)

Oh yea, because people don't have jobs or things they need to do which requires a fully functioning PC with all the latest drivers/software.

I hate the ads that fill up half the screen and when you click on the "x" button to close it, it shrinks down and goes to the corner of the screen and flashes as if you would want to reopen the ad.

What the hell are you on about? It does take more than 40 minutes to install all the updates! Your PC has to fucking fetch the updates from Microsoft's servers! That process itself can take an additional hour as it is a series of fetching updates, installing, and rebooting to apply the updates installed, and fetching more updates again (which repeats.) I've formatted two of my parents' work PCs (which are around six years old) for the past two weeks, and to restore those PCs back to their workable and up-to-date configuration took me two-and-a-half hours a piece.

Way to take my words out of context.

First of all, those people who have the common sense to install anti-virus and ad-blocking software on their machines do it for the reason of preventing their machines from being infected, and thus, saving them time from unnecessarily reformatting their PCs. As S.I.R. has pointed out, many people are in a time crunch to get their things done. Do you think those people have the time and luxury to reformat their PCs frequently? Also, if you go to any professional workplace, I guarantee you won't see anybody fooling around with reformatting their work laptops or PCs frequently. Why? Because it's a time-consuming activity that severely kills productivity.

And besides, I wouldn't hire you to take care of reformatting my PC for me. Judging by your posts here, you have terrible reasoning skills, and what you have told me so far regarding your little network of three PCs that you have, you've demonstrated to be very incompetent in terms of computer security.

Plus the fact that it can take longer to reformat depending on if you want to back things up, how much stuff you want to back up. Then after reformatting it's re-downloading and re-installing programs and such.

    Time, there is time.
Most people rather get home and go to parties and other events. (therefore there is time, its opportunity cost)
[Stay home and watch a movie or something while it finishes updating]
Ok so what your saying is that most people rather hire a computer tech, so that he may tell them all this gibberish
(which they most likely won't understand) and say:
"Hey, so you need all these things so that your computer can be safe and run smoothly" when in fact that is not completely true.
They do it based on their security expectations, not yours.
If it was protecting a big company than I would understand.
Yes, I do format my computer because I choose to as I mess with it allot.
People can do it themselves, they do not have to hire a CPU tech. (no luxury, just ask)
I have gone to some professional workplaces as my cousin is a cpu tech.
IT: Everybody is on task, but have free time while they are doing it.
Other place that I have gone: the exact same.
Computer Security, you think you are safe because of a couple of programs...
The Average Tech and his mindset...he assumes you know everything (or treats you like an idot)
