Dubbed, because I can't understand Japanese, and subs distract me.

Then you both need to watch more subs, it gets quite easy to multi-task with subs and if you dont learn how to early on it can be difficult to learn how later. It's a nice skill to have because if something comes on or you want to watch something but its only in a different language then you can focus on both things at once. Plus your missing out on a hell of a lot of anime. My Solution, Watch more subs. The more you watch the better you'll get.

There is only thing I like on sub though, because you can learn how to say some words in Japanese if you pay close enough attention.

And now your focusing on 3 things at once. And really attempting to teach yourself through subs like that doesn't work. Japanese is said in a different way than English, different word order. So for us we might say "Yo, Ed, Wassup?" In Japanese they may say "Wassup, Yo, Ed?" (Example, not necessarily true). So when you hear JAGAJAJA you might think it means YO when it could mean something totally different. See what I mean?

    I prefer abit of both.
Subs if the Anime doesn't have dubs and/or if the English voices are horrid
Dubs if the voices are right.

for me it depends on what i've a certain the anime the first time. if it subbed first then most dubs would sound suck for me unless its on our language. if i've seen it dubbed first then the subbed ones would sound awful to me.

I must argee, though there are a few dubs which I absolutly detest, TTGL. There are far more dubs that I like, I.E. The Big O, Cowboy bebop. Then there are those dubs which are actually better than the original VAs, Dragon Ball Z is a perfect example.

Why did they make Osaka, in Azumanga, sound like a girl from Texas in the dub? Her voice rocks in the original Japanese version :p

I have no clue, though I do love the anime, I hate the dubs for it.
