    LOL i agree with elk
with 1000 terabytes per second i think id OWN the internet.

i was spawned from the eye of a blackhole named Morningale in another galaxy 33457862154523423354563646 lightyears away
i arrived at your solar system the year 1724 and reached earth after 18 days(i even got to dine with charlemagne and was dubbed as his most gluttonous knight. i wonder why i wasnt mentioned...)
i also met frodo the hobbit harry potter the scarred byrnison the polar bear aslan the lion

and now here i am chilling in romu forums

    statement false

proof: univers is not old enough for "your galaxy" to exist

There is a high possibility for other earth like planets to exist.
So it's quite possible that other life form exists, too.

I'm not sure if they would be that intelligent.

if they are visiting us, there won't be any proof. remember that memory deleting device from M.I.B, they can wipe out our memory in a blink of an eye. then there is that possibility of someone not getting their memories wiped out. but who would believe him. he's just another nut case. the MIB movie is a great example how aliens live among us and we don't know it because of a cover up.

then there is that time phase device from star trek where the wearer becomes cloaked temperally. so you have aliens walking amongst us in an invisibility cloak.

isn't warp speed suppose to be near the speed of light or something. at those speeds how would you prevent something from getting crushed or rather ripped apart?

warp speed is lightspeed however warp 2 is not twice lightspeed.

you have a deflector and inertia dampeners :D

no joke it may be some star trek shit but they got it right, if we could travel at the speed of light we would also need a deflector and inertia dampeners.

and did you know that teleportation is not impossible, scientists have successfully transported one single particle well it was a copy that came out the other end but it did show that it is possible to transport and recreate an exact copy. the implications is if it was done with a person you'd need to destroy the original. but its not going to happen any way as even with the all of the worlds most powerfull computers it would take thousands of years to recalculate how to put all your particles back together.

The UK released it's x files a while ago and confirmed the existence of aliens.
So there you go, question answered. Do aliens exist? Yes they do.

The universe is flat. Scientists shot two laser beams through space and the angle measures turned out to be exactly 180.

As for the matter of alien existence, I personally do believe they exist. It's just hard to believe that our planet is the only one in space that has suitable living conditions.

There should be life elsewhere, except their suitable living conditions may or may not be similar to ours. We are Carbon based life-forms, they could be too, or maybe the could be based on other elements like Nitrogen.

HOLD THE PRESSES! GORDON BROWN JUST ANNOUNCED THAT DOLPHINS ARE MERELY ANOREXIC WHALES.

Stop being so gullible. The UK government did not confirm the existence of aliens, but it seems you'll believe everything any old jackass tells you. Think for yourself, and stop lying through your teeth. Also; yes, aliens do exist. Are they visiting us? Probably not.

This may sound geeky but just like in Star Trek, maybe they've seen us for sometime now & are merely observing us. Just waiting for our Civilization to be advance enough for us to communicate with them. Or they could be waiting for us to be more "mature".

how would you travel in space without having to wait so long?

on earth, if we wanted to go from america to uk, france, egypt, china, etc... we can drive, which would take forever, we can sail which is the second fastest or we can use an airplane and fly there. so if we assume that a space ship like in star trek or star wars or any other scifi involving ships, that going warp speed to go from point A to point B then the idea of having to go from point A to point B using warp speed would be like using a car. for aliens to travel the universe, it would take them forever to go places using warp speed and the likes.

then there is the wormholes which space ships can go through to travel distances way farther where the otherside of the wormhole ends. but again, you still have to find a wormhole that will go in that direction. just like sailing, if the wind is only blowing west and you want to go east, it's going to be rather difficult to go east as you'll have to find an alternative route or find some clever way to sail east when the wind blows west.

the alternative solution would be to instantaneously arrive here or like what nightcrawler does when he teleports except you don't have a device from point A to point B. how would you control the probability of where you're going will be where you want to go. a ship can teleport and all of a sudden end up in the core of a sun or planet. hey, maybe they could even appear in from of your house.

i think it's just too improbable for aliens to actually visit us any time soon. it would take a species a long time just to go from point A to point B. then there is the idea of having to resupply goods. and then theres that mental problem about being on something for too long. people who are on a boat for too long end up getting angry and agitated. the confinement makes people go crazy. then people may end up unmotivated for continuing the voyage.

the alien must be able to harness the power of the sun into the size of like a 24" computer case in order to travel space. the people it'll have to feed on replicators and the amount of energy for the engines. then there is the problem of having to replenish energy. will it be recyclable and reuseable or will you have to obtain new materials. humans will one day space travel but will be like millions of years, maybe billions. let's see if we can find the next aliens around earth [aka evolution].

    Nicely put ultra. :D

Since you brought it up, I want to tackle the issue of mental state as you referred to it, what if these Aliens have different mental states then ours? Again citing Star Trek, as geeky as it again may be, what if like the Vulcans these Aliens don't feel emotions, they don't get agitated or homesick? Also what of physiology? Even here on earth, every lifeform has its own life span, what if they could live thousands of human years & for them it only is like a day or so?

all those ideas you have all probably involve evolution or some sort of change in their genetic structure.

on earth there is one thing that doesn't have a life span but then some people will argue that it doesn't count. that thing is a plant. if a plant is to grow in a location undisturbed it'll grow until the planet dies or whatever decides to interfere with it's life span. there are evidence of trees that have lasted a long time here on earth until man decided to destroy it or what not. i belive there is one located in sweden or denmark, check google.

basically, one day we'll figure out a way to travel space at a modest speed, that is being able to go warp speed or something similar. our bodies will probably evolve sooner or later to accomodate the necessity for space travel. we'll be experiencing time differentials and probably adapt to those physicallity at first but over time we'll some how be changing. so that'll take another million or billion years.

there is a star trey voyager episode [episode called Threshold] where they try to travel past warp 9.5 [going to warp 10]. tom paris and the captain eventually start to evolve due to the high speed space travel they experienced. if you can find that episode online or through some video rental, it'll be a great watch to understand how one day we'll actually may end up being able to travel at those speeds.

the vulcans do express emotions. however, those emotions are suppressed because during the vulcan history, they have discovered that emotions are things that cause trouble, etc.... they therefore use the idea of logic as a tool to suppress emotions through reasoning. logic is reasoning. this concept will never occur on a place like our planet because something like this requires the willingness of people to do so as well as the dedication and discipline and that is something people have to agree on. if people don't want it then you can't have it because you'll have segregation between supporter and non supporters [look at xmen 3 with the idea of the cure]. the vulcan's brotherly enemy is the romulans. notice how the romulans look similary to a vulcan. the romulans disapprove of the vulan ways, logic.

the one way of space travel without having to age would be to develop a time slowing device. but how would you develop such an experiment or conceive on how to start. think about it, how would you stop time or slow time when it only goes in one direction and it's an object that doesn't exists as a materal object? even if you did found a way, who would be willing to be part of the experiment. you could destroy the existance of man or alter history or you may not even return.

It's hard to fathom that we are the only life forms in the vast universe, or multiverse. Also if we are the epitome of intelligent design.....we were created by a retarded child.

I once met the astronaut Storey Musgrave at the Kennedy Space centre.

During a question and answer session , I showed my wife and kids up by asking him about one of his missions.

Its alleged that during this mission they witnessed a ufo.

He refused to answer my questions , and the visitors guide quickly took my microphone away.

During the autograph session , he recognised me , and very politely said that there are some subjects he is not allowed to discuss.

Read into that what you will , it certainly opened my families eyes.

nobody knows...and nobody wiil never find it from just imagination....
what we need now is some good evidence about the existence if it really exist...
    not just some false theory.....
doesnt matter what we say...all is lost if the thing really is doesnt exist!
but believe what your heart say...for yourself....

Aliens visiting us, i do think so for some reason a saw UFOs hovering above the sky near our community, but it's strange tough cuz i am the only person who saw it... and were not only the species in the whole universe, there's many planets beyond our area that is very far away, Therefore there might be new species there.

And don't get me wrong but Alien movies are WAY too overeacting. i mean aliens are not to be afraid of, i mean why would we fear them, they didn't do anything bad. But if they go shooting there blasters and stuff then i'll be prepared to kill them all.

There is viable proof vhiznu, remember that meteor rock found with the fossilized remains of Bacteria?

@jakenero10: Yes they really mean no harm, they just have an extreme fetish on doing anal probes on some people ;D

    so then...aliens are gay ;D
well if like cahos said...maybe the bacteria is the aliens....how big is it???
