Some suicide bombers only take up the job in order to raise money for their families. A few more economical and educational opportunities for the common impoverished soul would surely help weaken Al-Qaeda and the rest, wouldn't they?

Of course, what do I know. I'm not worthy to judge a war I'm not involved in, am I?

You're talking nonsense.

To be where? Afghanistan? We (The British) went out to Afghanistan because of how many Taliban were flooding in from Pakistan.

A lot of people say "OIL! OIL!". Afghanistan hasn't got any oil. Some say it's because they want an oil pipe to come through the country, but that's hocus pocus.

You don't understand British Politics. No person is in power, they are in OFFICE. People also aren't blind -- we're committed. We have to have Afghanistan as a route into Iran. It's all tactical.


None of this is to say we should be there -- I don't believe we should. It's an illegal war, and there was no justification.

I just see it as, we've been committed for YEARS, the point of saying we should never have gone out there is no longer valid. We all know it, but there is little we can do, apart from support the troops that have been sent out there, and hope they get back safely.

Blair and his cronies better watch out if the Towels take over the world in the future.He can be tried for war crimes,like them Yugoslavs have been.That Dutch guy that was in the House of Lords had the right idea-stop Muslims entering countries in the West.If their countries are that good,and if they want to be closer to Mecca etc,then why do they come over here....BOOM
