stem cells for curing diseases is good but cloning humans is going too far in all morality and ethics.
    people cant play god.

we already have... vaccines, buildings, planes, etc. why not make clones, i think that its awesome that we as a speicies are able to create ourselves in an artificial matter.

Would cloning be considered artifical life as we 'create' the being.
Imagine the olympics after cloning. ???

Except a clone is not an identical person, it's merely genetically identical. Life experiences and work still change who you are. There is no reason to assume they would all throw the exact same distance.

maybe thay can just clone the organs or something?

you can't clone an organ, an organ can only function inside a human body.that would mean cloning a full human and then ripping the organs from the clone to use yourself, and that's just wrong

not true, its a variant of cloning. However, it would be of limited usefulness if the clone was made from tissue of the intended recipient. Generally, the reasons people need a transplant are because of their current organ failing, which is often caused directly or indirectly by a genetic problem. In these circumstances, the replacement organ would suffer the same genetic defect.

i dont mind about the stem cell research cause that can help people but human cloning never should never happen who would want two of you running around

well tell that to indentical twins.....

    well apart from that

why? IIRC indentical twins is basically clone..... they have almost 95% indentical in genetic level... so when nature clone human its o.k, but when human did it its not? i dont understand the reason behind that.

I only believe in cloning human's vital organs which can be used to save lives.

I'd like to have a clone of myself- he would be my slave >:D

...but I don't think I could control something with such an ugly character... he would start a rebellion for sure :p

Won't your clone kill you to become the "real" you?
That's one of the problems I see with cloning whole creatures.

Do identical twins habitually murder each other?

  20. ggrroohh

    ggrroohh Well-Known Member

But twins are not artifically created...
Say I and a bunch of others was cloned and become a slave to my orignal person,I'd kill the original and replace him so I don't have to be a slave anymore..
I hope people know what I'm talking about... >.<
