sorry about that, it should be silicon valley. the problem with writing in general, either handwritten or through typing, you often think faster then you write and you sometimes either mistakenly spell something wrong or wrote something in which they are missing parts.

Very identical... guess they wanted to save money on design costs....

I don't believe in getting a laptop that costs twice as much as a Windows equivalent.

When I was just starting school, we had an apple.

It was easy enough to work out, and fun to use :)

When I first tried a microsoft, I said "screw this-I can't use it".

    Now I swear by it!

Why, well after not using one in soo many years I somehow learnt to use microsoft, but as of 2004 I tried an apple...and swore to never touch one!

In reality-we need a "3rd pillar' to stop these giants-microsoft does make good gear but too expensive-apple is only easy to use when your used to it or FORCED to learn it.

As much as I hate Apple, competition sometimes brings out the best in Microsoft (Windows Vista not being one of those cases). As long as there is any form of competition for Microsoft, they will always try to beat it with something just as good, or even better. Or they will add features that out-weighs the pros of the other product. DirectX is one of those features that I can't enjoy my life without. If any other OS could fully emulate DirectX, than I might give it a try. Ihate the fact that Apple overprices their products when most people don't even find it useful.

I also hate Apple because of the many people that are obsessed with iPods and iPhones, many of which have little knowledge of the computer/eletronic world. There ARE better MP3 players out there people!

The only reason why I ever use an Mac, is because I do a lot of music/video editing, and I find it easier to do on a mac...
But in my opinion, PC still is better when it comes to things other than Multimedia

IF there's no Apple then there's no one Microsoft can steal ideas form and there wouldn't be cool and wicked gadgets anymore.

When apple switched to intel processors, the only reason for buying a mac disappeared. The powerpc architecture was superior to intel's x86 architecture.

Vista is a RAM whore that loves to make you click allow five times just to allow Mozilla FireFox.

Saying that I usually find that Macs are pretty slow on a network... That might be because all the Mac's are outfitted with just 1gb of RAM. And then there is the shared connection to the server with every file.

an apple a day keeps the doctor away... wait sorry, macs are great but they have compatibility issues, quicktime is the best viewing software ever!

Agreed on the mac parts. Apples have fruit acids which actually erode your teeth, so while it may keep the doctors away, you'll find yourself visiting the dentist instead, what an enigma...

Tux threw an Apple at the Window and broke it. Guess who wins?

Yes. Jailbroken iPods are better than the ol' iPod. Some day, I'll run Ubuntu via touch. Either that, Puppy, or DSL. Or just use it as a very, very expensive mass storage device.

My friend went to Apple to get his iPod fixed; they said no. Reason: it was raining and the iPod was stored in his pocket upside-down; contacts + water... they HATE the water damage crap.

But nothing beats my wife's cousin calling Apple why he couldn't get Windows on his jailbroken iPod touch... now whatever he buys comes with no warranty.
