2012 The end of the world?

hmmmmmmm.... sounds interesting but when i die i will live on! lolz confusing i know

maybe the mayan caledar things have several reason why it's ends at 2012
1) 2012 is really the world's end ( which i don't believe
2) they are all died before they can make year 2013 and more
3) they scientist/archeologist dechipered it wrong? who knows? it can be 20 012 with one zero missing because of old age? maybe earth still have another 18.00 years to live???

 

the truth is, only God knows when the world will end..

The thing is, 2012 is most likely about Planet X...or Niburu or something as some people call it. It's proven that the planet exists, it's proven that the thing is headed our way and it's proven it will happen around the end of 2012. By NASA. Now correct me if I'm wrong but I hardly doubt they have a bunch of amateurs there.

The whole thing about Aliens being on that planet is also because of the Maya's and the Inca's. Have you ever seen statues of those two civilisations? They have a guy in a car, a guy in an astronaut suit and a guy with a dial phone. All those statues have been proven to come from that time which is weird since cars, astronauts and phone's didn't exist back then. The Maya's are surrounded by weirdom.

But still, scientists can't even figure out how exactly the Mayan calendar works, let alone get an actual accurate date from it.
Just wait and see people, that's all we can do anyway. It is interesting to discuss it and debate on it but take it all with a bit of salt.

The Mayan's never said that the world would end in 2012, in fact they said very little about the end date of their long calender. Pretty much all they did say was they they would not be about, and that great changes would happen around this time. By 'around' that means a about hundred years before and after 2012, now if you don't think there have been amazing changes in the last hundred or even 30 years you are reading the wrong news. I imagine the next 30 years will bring huge changes as well.

well then, this is actually my first post in the whole forum so HI !!! =)

in my opinion, the end of the world cannot be predicted
HUNDREDS and MILLIONS of times its been told tomorrow will be it
and yet, here we are, being able to post and play our ROMS
predictions like the 666 theory? or the molecule collider?
and now, the amazing 2012 theory
there are pretty cool facts about why people say it will be that date
1. The ending of the Mayan calendar
2. That crazy volcano thingy
3. Something about the Earth's crust? [check back on page 1] xD

The first theory, what I think is that like mentioned earlier, they were wiped out
and anyways, they were human too !
dont you think they'd be lazy to continue after creating a calendar that long !?
Second one, the most damage a volcano can do is spreading ash all around the world blocking the sun from ever reaching the land, therefore killing all plants and animals and surely enough. Humans.
But our technology now give us the power to not rely on the sun as much
we are able to grow plants without the help of the sun
and we may even have the technology to get rid of the ash ! so who knows?
And now, the third theory. if the Earth's crust is wafer thin
that means the worst that can happen is a huge casualty count.
but not the end of human civilization

The worst thing I could think of that may kill off humans can be Global warming !
crazy weathers. burning radiation rays. water levels rising. that's three things that threatens us !
who knows ? 2012? 3012? 10012 ?? you never know
live your life to the fullest !! thats all you need to do
you never know if tomorrow may be your last !

 

The Mayan calendar is nothing! We dont die on new year because its the end of our calendar!

there is no such thing as the end of the world... there is ends of species though... think about it,



they say that it's the end of the world as :

1. a religous symbol, all you need is 200 years (3 generations would have gone by, and no one could care)
2. imagination might be limitless, by human endurance and enginuity can only go so far how far does your calander go 12 months? why not 13 14 500?
why not? because 12 is convienient.

when you wake up the next morning get a whole lot of bricks, and without any help, stack them one by one (using mortar of course and see how many you can stack until you say "screw it i'm done"
