Ok - what have I done wrong? Have managed to play the game right up until I get to the Wise One in Ocean - I can't answer her questions ie: are you a boy or girl - and when I leave, the screens go black and I have to switch DS off - sure this has already been mentioned, but could someone point me in the right direction please? Many thanks.
Just avoid the Wise One. As far as I'm aware you can just skip straight to finding the Song of Birds by playing the Song of Discovery by the lone palm tree on the island south of the Wise One's hut.
my father faced the same problem playing this game with a language- patch, turning all the english text into german. we managed to fix this by playing this part of the game on the original english rom (savegame should work fine for both versions), as the problem only occurs on the language- patched rom. afterwards one can switch back to the desired patched version, using the new savegame. hope this works for you.
