    Anyone else having this problem?

Everything works fine, until the very first screen when it says, "Nintendo. Game experience may change during online play."

Then, as it's about to goto the main title sequence (i'm guessing), it flashes and goes to a black screen with red letters saying,

"Data could not be read. Turn the power off and reinsert the Game Card."

And then i can't do anything. Tried updating the firmware (even though it was already up to date), still no dice.

Sounds like you need the arm7 fix. Google it or something.

I have the same problem with my DS-X. It gets to the screen where I would choose a file and then brings up the same message screen. Mine is also up to date.

im have r4 card and it does the same thing, do i need to update the kernal?

  11. Arm7 fixed mine right up for my Ds-x as for the R4 guy you have to use a sd card and my old one crashed on me. So Ds-x>R4 for me.

I'd definitely try that if I were you... =|

Works perfectly on my R4 with the 1.11 kernel.

    DSX FIX FOR ZELDA

Thanks to "tjfeejay" for the Arm7_Fix suggestion. It didnt work for me, but I have something that did. My zelda is fully running now.

To make it work, we have to replace the Arm7.bin file in the zelda rom with an UNPROTECTED Arm7.bin file from another working game.

    1. Get an unprotected rom to steal the arm7.bin file from. (0864 - SimCity works great)

    2. Get a program to open up a rom, called DSlazy... here: http://gbatemp.net/index.php?download=76 7

    3. Start DSLazy.exe and load the working rom (0864 simcity). click the [...] button to load.

    4. When the rom is loaded, press the [NDS Unpack] button and it will open the up the ROM file for you.

    5. Make a copy of the unprotected arm7.bin file to the desktop or somewhere.

    6. Now (with DSlazy still open) load the ZELDA rom. (press the [...] button)

    7. Like step 4, click [NDS unpack] when the zelda ROM has loaded.

    8. Replace the arm7.bin file in the newly extracted Zelda rom with your other "unprotected" arm7.bin file, and overwrite.

    9. Press the [NDS Packer] button in DSlazy, and it will pack up the ROM for you. It will ask for a name.

    10. Viola... a working zelda rom. have fun. :) (and dont forget to buy it if you like it)

WEEEEEEEE! Im off to not sleep for a while.

  14. The only 2 options it can't be working are,
    1. You didn't patch right with arm7
    2. You don't have 1.1.2

This is making it sound like a troll topic...

  15. Erm that is normally how it works...
