iDeaS management of AR codes is by menus, right? -in entering codes for this emulator, make sure the one that is highlighted is "iDeaS Emulator" not other code entries- -The error you're encountering is due to your inputs being inserted to other code entries-
I am unsure of how the IDeas cheat system works, but you may want to try the cheat compilation from www.GBAtemp.net just search for "The New Massive Cheat Compilation Thread" and it will bring you to a page where it may have your cheat file. The database updates around every two weeks or so. If your cheat system uses action replay codes then scroll down from the thread I mentioned near until you see the different sites where they obtain the codes.
