Honestly, 75% of the time I encounter some type of error message when I visit YouTube. Really, they need to work on keeping their site online. They have "maintenance" in the middle of the day every day and we can't post comments for like three hours. The site doesn't load half the time and the video player is always glitchy. This all happened after Google bought YouTube. And I was always against that. The corporate giants always ruin everything.
You see most of the videos I watch are stolen from Nicovideo, so why bother go on Youtube?but strangely, I never get affected by their maintenance
I never ever have this problem and I used YouTube consistently. Being a Vistafag and using Chrome will do that to you.
These are all problems on their end and have nothing to do with me using Vista or Chrome. It even says 500 Internal Server Error. The other 3 are maintenance messages. How does that have anything to do with using Vista or Chrome?
I already got the 500 Internal Server Error, and I'm using Mozilla on XP, so I dont see why Chrome would be more an error magnet
LIES BORN, i have 0 problems with youtube... other than the occasional video that refuses to load at a normal speed
75% of the time. I'm not going to join in on the Chrome bashing, but there is definately something wrong at your end if you are having so many problems. I honestly cannot remember the last time I had a problem like this with YouTube, if ever. Could it be a problem with your ISP?
The last time I had an error on Youtube was a little bit before April Fools when they did change stuff. I've never gotten an error since, there must be something wrong on your side of things Born. Atleast you get to see the funny error pictures, I've never seen them before.
I get errors when I try to upload stuff to Youtube. I haven't uploaded anything ever sense December 2008!
Nah, your ass is getting trolled. I'm using Vista right now and Chrome is a decent browser aside from that it's still not very stable with running a lot of flash instances. In seriousness though, I spend too much time on YouTube and I haven't seen those kinds of messages in the longest time. Also, I know I'm cool.
The whole 75% thing is an exaggeration. Once again, these errors cannot be my fault. The messages were created by their servers.
Woah, those messages have started appearing on my side too...tried to go to the link that Reider posted(went ok at first but I refreshed the page and !boom!... EDIT: It's up again...
We should have children. :-* >Once again, these errors cannot be my fault. >The messages were created by their servers. wat YouTube could easily redirect those using a Chrome browser to a 500 page or similar while they worked on browser compatibility. But sure, believe what you want.
You know, the problems might not be server or client side. ISPs, government controls, etc, yadidimean? Or there could be something wrong with the localised servers if you're accessing from a different country. Oh, and those porn floods probably haven't helped. Also, voidsies is a pretty cool guy.
SLightly offtopic, I'm not effected by any downtime But I HAVE noticed that youtube has started to SUCK since it was bought. The comments are glitchy, 80% of the damn site is flagged for copyright (I once had to defend one of my vids from WMG twice, the first time I used audioswap and thought everything was ok, but THEN they tried to take it down AGAIN for copyright on the song that youtube fucking provided -.-) I dont use youtube anymore
