You clearly have never seen a 18+ ad. Besides,ads are usually harmless unless you click them. If you're afraid your parents would see them then just come when they aren't looking.
I think you're missing the picture that the adds are what are keeping this site alive. If you can't handle having a few adds here and there then you're better off finding a rare romsite that doesn't have adds. Without adds, who's going to pay for server costs? Would you like to download Romulation's ROM's from megaupload/Rapidshare instead?
