Xenogears freezing up

Ok I'm at a part in the first disk where Fei blacks out again, and goes beserk(as the destroyer of God {I guess? Its my first playthrough ;P}). After the fight, there is a long (in-game) cutscene where this new army outfit has captured the Weltal and Fei( again I'm assuming because I don't know yet), and is also met by a new race/people that they are in allience with( and who apear to ride in a space ship that resembles a flying red vase.....Again, questions abound....Reguardless, the game freezes up when the cutscene switches to Fei( more specificly, when the camera rotates around and you see both young and old Fei).....Okay....now onto my Emulator and specs....cause I know your going to ask.....I run the latest vesion of ePSXe and the plug-ins I use are as follows. Video-Pete's D3D Driver 1.76/Sound-P.E.Op.S. DSound Audio Driver 1.9/Cdrom-Mooby2 cd disk image driver 2.8....Thanks for your time in reading all of this but I don't usally ask for help alot, so I'm trying to be as specific as possible....Actually on a side-note- Is there any way to run the sound durring any cutscenes(that arn't "in-game") using ePSXe? Again, thank you for your time...

 

Did anyone find a good plugin? I have the same problem. I thought it maybe the data was corrupted, so I downloaded from this site this time. It seems the data wasn't corrupt if it does the same thing here...

Has anyone found a solution? I'vebeen working with the emulator for 2 days now and unfortunatly know nothing about emulators or isos. Thanks for the help!

 

i have the same problem, and i ended upo going to gamefaqs and downloading saved files , and i was lucky enough that one of them was directly after the cutscene, in nortune. i tried at least 15 different video plugins, so i think it might be the iso...

 

It's pretty easy actually ;D... you just have to hit F7 when that cutscene comes and hit it again when it ends...
