XBOX 360 controller config problem

    so i have the granstream saga iso for ePSXe 1.70 and for whatever reason it wont recognize any control i put in. i tried this with some other games and they played just fine. I use a wired XBOX 360 controller mapped to ePSXe and its worked fine up until this iso. is this one of the specific isos that will only play on ePSXe 1.52 or 1.60?

    Its now not working for ANY new isos i download. I cant get my controller to work for Final Fantasy Tactics OR Syphon Filter either. My controller is working for my old roms but now none of the new isos i download. Is there an update or patch i need to get?
