Piracy only works agaist companies in small portions. they still have their huge amount of customers who give them their millions.. deleting the nds roms makes no difference.

it does make a difference. It stops us being arrested and sent to jail.

i understand that but techincally RomUlation isnt making money from sharing these roms, and there are so many other roms sites, so Romulation is just being attacked.

I can almost guarantee we werent the only site to be attacked.

dude ppl that download roms wont go to jail simply because its available to us, only the ppl hosting are affected. BUT, the people hosting these roms are not making money from it, and isnt stealing stealing money from the companies. So i dont see why jail is even in the picture.

Yes he meant that the admins and mods(probably) would go to jail if they won't take down the NDS roms as requested. That would mean the site would shut down.

Also, the files are copyrighted, so sharing them is illegal.

Isn't this your second thread about NDS roms being taking down?

    *sigh*
    well,
if a person downloads roms all the time,
he won't buy the original version of the game.

And thats the reason why developpers (and the fcking esrb) wants to close those sites.
If people can't download NDS Roms, they will buy it.
So the developpers will get more money.

How can the Admin of RomU be arrested? Did you give your address or real name when you created romU?

But how are you still able to host GBA games? Did copyrights expire for GBA?

okay thx for replying all, but the way i see it is if its allow for downloading to the public for such a long time without problems, and all the sudden a multi-million dollar company starts to cry, thats just crap..

Because the laws and Romulation's stance on the subject is clear. And they went through the proper channels.

Please use the existing topic on the subject for any venting, etc.
