write protected?

  1. Can someone PLEASE explain to me what write protection is?

    Write protection is any physical mechanism that prevents modification or erasure of valuable data on a device. Most commercial software, audio and video is sold pre-protected.

    If you still have a diskette,you can find it easily at the edge of it... :)

    Usb?you mean a thumbdrive or pendrive or external hardisk?

    He likely means a USB adapter for his MicroSD card.

    Backup everything on it, and try to format it. It might have started failing. Seems a lot of these threads end with people not being able to format the card, or write anything to it.
