Does anyone recommend me getting this game? I started playing runescape a while back, and now im interested in games like WoW... Should I buy this game, (or download it through torrents ) lol? tell me what you think
You'll need to buy the regular WoW first. Burning Crusade is the first expansion pack for the game. Its hard to tell if you will like it or not. It can get awefully repetitive as you gain levels. And there is no point of downloading it through a torrent. To play on official servers, you'll need a unqiue cd key, and all of the good private servers have been served cease and desist orders from Blizzard Legal.
private servers suck anyway in my experience, they have stupid leveling rates. As well as the original game and the burning crusade expansion, you will also need the wrath of the lich king expansion. You can get a 10 day free trial, and if you subsequently sign up they give you 1 month free credit (well they did for me). You can also buy prepaid game cards and use them if you don't want to pay a monthly subscription.
Just depends on your perspective Loony, There were some bad private servers...then there are some terrible ones...but eventually you would find one you were comfortable on. They come in all different flavors, like instant level 70, Blizzard-like servers with the same rates as the real game, high-rate servers with the boosted xp rates like you said, and fun servers where you could do stupid things like level to 255 =/
i recommend this game because..well.. I like it and you can download from torrents and get the underworldofwarcraft private server i download torrents from thepiratebay.org
i was hoping to get Burning Crusade and more game time for my birthday ... instead they bought me expensive jewellery :'( (who'd ever thought a girl would choose games over two-tone gold? lol) but i think i'll give some of those private servers a try - they seem interesting XD
