For some reason it keeps freezing after the main title screen during the beginning of the game. Any way to fix this?

I'm guessing yes since I downloaded the latest version from here.

Then backup all your data and reformat your card.

So you are suggesting I reinstall the system stuff? I'm also having freezes for other games, and now when I turn on the system it goes to the picto chat screen.

We have a game freezes part to our common issues.

I have a Sandisk microSD 2GB micro SD memory card t-flash currently. I don't think this is a slow micro sd chip, but you never know. Btw, when you say format do you mean I should redownload all the firmware?

Doesn't matter if it's slow or fast. Just like a normal harddisk a memory card becomes fragmented over time, that means the read speed is reduced as the read laser has to move more to get to the different areas of the disk.

Formatting your harddisk/card makes all data be written as sequential as possible thus making the distance the laser has to travel less and thus increasing reading and writing speed.

And to format right click your drive/card and click Format. After you've backed up your files of course.

I've only had it for three days, but I guess I'll try it out.

    Thanks!

For some reason I'm still having the issue. I just formatted the whole card. Btw, its an M3 real. I try to play the game and bam it freezes right after the cutscene. Its pretty weird because its a popular game so I doubt its the rom, but you never know I guess.

It's most likely not the ROM. Sandisk is one of the best, it could just be TWEWY isn't currently compatible with the firmware, or your MicroSD is wearing out too much.

Ahh! ok, well I guess I'll wait, and see if its the firmware. How would it be wearing out if I barely used it though?

Eventually it just gets older, you know what I mean.

Or it could be faulty, I tried The World Ends With You briefly on my CycloDS and it worked without a problem. I don't exactly have a slow MicroSD card but it's not the fast of the bunch either so I don't think it requires overly much. Since it happens with other games, which is highly unusual, I'd suggest it's the memory card that's faulty, try using another one or borrow one from a friend to see if it still happens.

Its only happening with TWEWY currently. Every other game I've had no problems at all. I only had one freeze in another game, but I later turned on the system, and the problem was fixed.
