I've got work experience tommorow, I'm basically screwed... I'm working in a area of London called Harlesden at a nursery, I would expect none of you to know where this is, its not exactely the safest place in the world :-[ An old lady was stabbed near my work place like a week ago, if old people aren't safe will I be!? So, is anyone here going on work experience, or already been? Just post your experience's, I'll keep you updated on day to day experience, that is if i'm alive... ;D
My first work experience was at a company that delivered computer parts. It was horrifically dull, then on the third day one of the van drivers crashed into the lobby, which livened things up a bit. Never been to Harlseden, but I have heard it's not the greatest place in London.
If there's one thing I have learned from my years as a gamer, it's that they will be small, fast, and best handled with a lead pipe. >_>
I had work experience at a primary school a few years ago. Not the best experience I had, especially when I was stalked by a group of kindergarten girls, and nearly blackmailed by two 8 year old boys. I now know why teachers are always on strike, and I can say right now....I'm never going to be a teacher.
I had school work experience at a primary school too, I hated it but damn that teacher was attractive
I did work experience at 'Pertemps recruitment agency' I was used as a paper shredder/coffee boy for the first week, then they just let me piss about on the internet for second... It was kinda pointless.
I had Work Exp with my family since they own a business. My friend also worked there slackest worker in the world gamed through half of it.
It's always been in a retail enviroment for me... Coles (supermarker) Big W (Variety store) Cornutopia (catering) JB HI FI (music/movies/video games, best fun since they had a demo of resident evil 4 ps2 to play, lol!) As for your unsafe work place...a nursarary? THAT ISN"T SAFE-DUDE BRING SOMETHING THAT WILL KEEP YOU SAFE! I always got to chose mine-why didn't you chose something easier or more fun/protected ???
Oh soo fun isn't it-I got lost in the same places when I was but a toddler-and to think I came back to get lost in all those chips (theh made me do the chip isle for a week)... And to think the guy I worked with liked my work-too bad I never came back-wasn't in the mood to work when I was getting free money...
I ended up at fresh produce I also worked random jobs up the back ( I musta spent an HOUR watching the trash compactor XD)
