Wood R4 stuck on the loading screen

    Hello. Recently when I turn on my DS, it doesn't go to the menu with all of my games on it. It just gets stuck on the black "loading..." screen. I have an original R4 with the latest Wood R4 installed. Sometimes it works fine, but most of the time it doesn't. Any advice? Thanks.

    Have you trying to typical reformat ?

    Download SDFormatterV2.0 and then just go on Full Format.
    Also what firmware are you running

    Version 1.22. I just reformatted and it's still stuck on loading screen.

    Are you sure you downloaded and installe it according to instruction and R4 Original version http://filetrip.net/file.php?id=23605 ?

    Yeah I did. It worked for a good while and then it stopped working some of the time. Now it doesn't work most of the time.

    I know what could be the problem

    Are you using a SD card 4gb or higher?

    if yes the original r4 can't use SDHC (means 4GB or higher)

    You must put the DS.dat thing on your root, not in a map

    maybe it's because of the update

    or it's a fake cart

    It's a real, genuine original R4. My SD card is 2GB. Every once in a while it says that it can't read the SD card or that there is no DS.DAT.MENU folder. I've reformatted and reinstalled Wood 1.22. I'm wondering if it's possible that there's a problem with the R4 and it just can't read the SD card anymore. I got it right when it came out. Thanks for the help. Any more suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

    Try the paper trick, maybe its your slot contacts

    just blow in the r4 card slot and then make sure the contacts of the sd card are clean just wipe them with your t shirt that works for me lol

    I tried it all. Paper trick and blowing into the DS didn't work. I might have to just buy a new one.
