So it's been a really long time since I last used my R4 III (2 years or so) and I haven't used it but I wanted to get back into some games. Last I was using it Wood R4 was the way to go for piracy protection etc. Due to my extended absence and now outdated and limited knowledge any help to get me started. I want to be able to get Black/White 2 running on it about as new as I'll get. I wouldn't have asked however so far I have been unable to find any firmware for it and am unsure which version of Wood R4 would be able to run on my R4 and is the newest. Thanks in advance.
Official WOOD R4 never support your cart. Were you using an unofficial WOOD R4 in the past? If so, the unofficial versions were dropped since v.1.5.0, official versions stopped at v.1.6.2. Your best bet is to use YSMENU from RetroGameFan. Use the folder marked for R4_clone. Follow steps provided in the package.
