    Hello :)

Does anybody know a freeware programm to set up a wireless network with WEP or non security (something like Connectify)?

I need that for my flashcard, especially I want to use wooddumper or something similar to extract my save files.
I know that WEP is not secure, but I also know all the people in my neighbourhood and there are no hackers!

I searched around the internet but all what I found let me only set up networks with WPA security :/

I have a laptop with Win 7 Home Premium 64 bit.
It's connected to a wlan router which has WPA, but I'm not allowed to change the secure...

    I hope someone can help.
    Thanks in advance :)

if you set your laptop up as an access point, you will not be able to wirelessly connect it to your router.

    Ok :/
But couldn't I set it up as an repeater?
Or can a repeater only send the same security as my router has?

    repeater can't change the security.

    Ok, thanks.

    Another question.
For dumping save files I don't need internet access, only a connection to an access point.
Can I disconnect my PC from internet and set up an access point on it to connect my flashcard with wooddumper to my PC?
That should be possible I think?

    theoretically should be possible, yes.

    Ok, thanks for your answers!

    One last question.
Do you know any freeware programm which can set up a WEP secured network?
I found a few, but they don't let me choose WEP for security.
