you know, i downloaded this onto the shared folder of my windows xp computer, intending to copy it over wifi onto my vista laptop. guess what? "i don't have enough permission to copy" - despite the fact i am the admin. come on, microsoft, if i were running an illegal copy of vista, you could dissable it. but my vista is perfectly legal, i bought it with my laptop. WHY CAN'T I COPY THE UPDATE!? seriously, i miss windows xp. i'd even resume using the old "fisher price" chunky theme if it meant i don't have to use vista ever again
I downloaded this damn SP, and installed. After reboot, my laptop always display a repair dialog box. So stupid !!!!! I still don't know why I have to pay for Vista on my laptop. This summer I will buy a laptop with Linux. Vista is so stupid !!!!!
talking of service packs... XP service pack 3 got released a few days back as a download (by june it'll be forced as an update) it's over 300MB big, and from what i can tell it's fixed that "no firewall detected" error that kept popping up when i started windows. and explorer doesn't eat up so much ram now.
I never get that Firewall message. You know the release date for SP3 was postponed and pushed back right due to a compatibility issue with the management system or something. Otherwise, I would have posted something like "get XP Sp3 now!!".
