Pretty self explanatory really, what do you have and what do you prefer to use? I don't just mean from an emulation or ROM downloading perspective, I mean in general :)

PC just because it has better games, but I like Mac's for stuff that needs no crashing, like programming.

I must admit, I use Fedora myself now, but I'm kinda debating whether or not to buy an iMac cause my PC's getting on a bit!

I use Windows now that I have Tiny 7, but I do like Mepis Linux.

I absolutely will NEVER give my money to Apple. I have iPods, but they were given to me.

Plus all of the Wii programs that I use are Windows only...so that's another reason why. :)

All of my families computers are Macs (in our house there is one iMac(24") and two MacBooks). I personally installed Windows XP using Parallels on each computer, so we can run both operating systems. They both offer vastly different advantages, and really should not be compared to say which is "better". Mac computers are incredibility user friendly and reliable, by that I mean that in my personal experience of many years with working with OSX, I have only had applications freeze or crash a few times. As with anything, proper care and maintenance will substantially increase the life span of a computer. I have found that Apple computers in particular will last longer than their competitors. The reason being that the components that make up the Apple products are very high quality. I can't even begin to list all of the different computers I have used (HP, Acer, Vaio, Compaq, Alienware, Apple, Toshiba, Dell, ect.) in the past few years, and honestly I would take an Apple computer over any of the others in terms of quality and usability. To say that one thing is better than another is morally presumptuous, the facts are out there so you can make your own decision. Try as many different computers as you can, read every review, find everything negative as possible and compare them to what you need. Best of luck,
    miros

    They're exactly the same components.

So are you saying I could install a Mac OS on a PC?

if it happens to use the same hardware as is in a mac, yes you can, and it's been done quite a lot.

It's been done even when the parts are different, not sure on the rules of posting links but a quick google of "Hackintosh" will bring up results using different hardware

Also, Windows all the way... I prefer my computers/laptops not to explode spontaneously =]

NINJA EDIT: Most of the time it will... If all else fails you can resort to Fedora ^_^

yes, but its a lot less likely to be successful. It all depends on if OSX has drivers for the hardware or not.

windows. My main reason is you can customize every aspect of your p c, and make it bad ass if you wanted to. It's more compatible. Bigger game selection. and the prices are a lot better.
Yes apples are more secure. But as long as your responsible with what sites you visit and what you download your p c will run great. I have a dell latitude from 1998. Runs great.

Dude, same here. I feel so lost when using a mac. I'd only want one for the features that only a Mac can do, mostly artistic stuff.
