Recently I got a computer with Windows 7 Home Basic... It has already been activated.

If I get an upgrade key, will I need to be online? I'm the kind of person that transfers their stuff via flash drive onto my computer... (No internet connection on my computer). I have the install disk though. Will that be enough? I don't have the upgrade key just yet...

you shouldnt need an internet connection to upgrade, you will probably need your disc, and you might need to activate again.

Thank you. I do have a disk. Only, doesn't activation require a connection?

yes, activation does require an internet connection, but if windows recognize the key as authentic, it won't be required to continue to use it. XD

Unplug everything before installation though. The internet connection is for installing drivers for hardware.
