will vga ports be dead and will start using those dvi stuff. i've been seeing a lot of new video cards with only those dvi ports and don't include the vga ports any more. is this a sign that they are going to go extinct. i'm asking because i plan to purchase an lcd monitor but i only supports vga ports.
most, if not all; video cards with DVI ports provide at least one DVI to VGA adaptor. Even if yours doesn't, the adaptors themselves are fairly cheap. I would expect that DVI will completely replace vga eventually, but I doubt it will happen in the near future.
my new graphics card has 2 dvi ports and no vga ports, but all new cards come supplied with the adaptors n e way.
