Will I lose saved games if I unmount a game?

Discussion in 'Technical Help' started by roven_the_great, Mar 7, 2010.

  1. I just finished Castlevania Symphony of the Night (best game in the world ;))

And I'm planning to play another game by mounting the cue. file but I have to unmount the old game.

so if i do that will I lose all my data and saved games?

no, the save files is stored in memory card file in a folder in your emulator's folder. do unmounting it would not make you lose your data.
so go ahead and unmount it. its completely safe

    Totally unrequired...

The only way to loose the saves from a game really is to not use the save option or if the emulator set up isn't done correctly, when i first had pcsx2 (a ps2 emulator) none of my games were saving because there was no mcr data to save on...

But if the save option is coming up and allowing you to save you should be fine :)
