Will hacking my wii effect netflix streaming if banned?

I have yet to hack my wii, for the fear of being banned for life from wii. But truthfully, I never play online. However, I DO stream netflix all the time, and I buy games from wiiware and virtual console.

Does being banned for life by wii block your system from all online activity? Or just wiishop channel and online gaming?

    Thanks.

I imagine just wii shop/nintendo stuff, but not sure.

    No. :p

I run the Netflix service from my USB Hard drive and I haven't gotten banned yet. :p

I play online even from my hard drive and my wii is as modified as you can get it.

Okay, I do. I mentioned in a reply that my wii auto updated when my girlfriend put in mario galaxy 2, so I'm at 4.3U, which sucks. I was all set up to do the version 2 hack, now I'm lost.

    1. Is the brawl hack going to get me the same thing as if I were to do bannerbomb?
    2. What allows me to back up games with disc drive?
    3. Anyone live in San Diego? :p

    1. Yes, the brawl hack just loads up the homebrew channel for it to install.
    2. Take a look at my soft-mod thread - http://forum.romulation.net/index.php?topic=35411
    3. No, I don't.

I know you werent going to ask one of use to personally come to your houe and softmod your wii?? cause thats a bit farfetched. Also, I read that nintendo blocked all homebrew app ect. for good this time but i havent confirmed it.

    Nah dude.

It just got rid of the crap if it was installed I believe.
You can still install the Homebrew Channel with the Brawl Exploit for now. :)

We spam their e-mails (if available) for shit like that ;) right ace? The new craze now is selling external HDDs chocked full of games for Wii.

I might be cool with somebody saying, hey, bring your external over and load as much as you want for $20. That seems worth it to not have to hassle with finding all the files. But that would also never happen. :-\

HAha thats funny... wish I wasnt the primary hacker around my part of town...That usually leaves me show people how to do stuff like that... some people just dont understand that there's a chance that their wii could brick, and usually complain, so now I have them sign contracts...
