i really wanted to get fallout 3 and it meets EVERYTHING (on the minimum) except for the video ram. it need 256 but i only have 224. will it work with 3DAnalyze (3danayze is a program that forces the game to think you meet the miniumum requirements. this is how i play oblivion)?

I would doubt it. A strange value for video ram (224 is not a normal value) almost always indicates a integrated video using shared system ram. These integrated chips are almost always made by intel (ATi and Nvidia chips in laptops always have dedicated video ram), and intel video chips have virtually no 3d capabilities whatsoever.

then tell me why oblivion would crash on normal startup but would run smooth when using 3danalyze?

i'm not saying if it would play smoothly, i'm just asking if it would actually play ignoring the lag.

ive no idea but software cannot make up for inadequate hardware. That's already how intel video chips try to work.

Most likely you have an older graphics card in your laptop that has 128mb dedicated memory + a 96mb AGP apeture.

Doubt it'll work that well, also worth remembering is despite similarities Fallout 3 = not Oblivion ;)
