Wiigator Gamecube Backup launcher problem?

    Ok i downloaded Super smash bros mellee and i burned the iso to a dvd-r (memorex) at 2x speed and when i tried to load it on the wiigator gamecube backup launcher through the homebrew channel thw launcher shows up but theres an error it says "The media was not recognized" then gives me a 3 options my wii works at reading wii backups but this is the first gamecube game i tried?
