ok i've been having some really weird problems iwth my wii here are what they are: 1) i update a game, example monster hunter tri, if i dont want to laucnh via gecko i launch via disc channel, i require to update, i update, none of my modding is removed (which is weird by itself) but the MIOS patch IOS is still there. 2) if i turn off the wii re install the MIOS, the game is asking me for the update again, also if insert an older game, like narutp clash of ninja revolution 3 i need to update AGAIN if i insert Monster hunter tri, guess what? i need to re update, why is this happening to me. 3) finally when i updated the ios rev (running rev 19 i wont install a new one for now) several functions of gecko OS are removed, leaving me only with basic stuff why that happens? why this happens and hwo the heck do i fix it?
Use Priiloader to block disc updates and you won't have this problem. Or if you don't wanna use Priiloader, use StartPatch. That is a horrible idea. Modding your Wii through Nintendo with homebrew is more dangerous than doing a complete soft-mod.
