wii warranty

    does installing the backup and homebrew channel onto the wii void my warranty??

    Legally I doubt it, since it does not interfere with the hardware or the operation of the unit. However, some computer companies will try to tell you the warranty is voided if you install a different OS to the one that came with it, so Nintendo could also try that line. (not sure about the Wii, but if a computer company tries that on you tell them they can't do that and changing OS is not a legally acceptable reason to void the warranty. They usually back down.)
