You can actually do this?!! And wouldn't that be a bit hard to use? If it is easy to use, don't blame me, I don't have a Wii :p

I know that it's possible if you have a bluetooth receiver and the program glovepie. Have a google, I'm pretty sure there'd be some tutorials out there on the topic. If not post back and I'll see what I can find - I had a look at setting it up once for my laptop.

Yeah I found a few tutorials on how to do it. You do need glovepie for most ways.

There's no need for your post, it's pointless. Obviously the link was for people who do have Wiis and who are interested in using their Wiimote on the PC. This is just spam.

Using the Wiimote requires bluetooth and a program called GlovePie, everything in those tuts up there should help you.

Whoa, already been told off once. I don't spam on purpose.

And Almo, adrelith already said what you said on the third post on this topic.

http://lifehacker.com/software/featured-download/control-your-computer-with-a-wiimote-280782.php And here's a link to a program for Win and Mac you can download that allows you to (or better) sending keystrokes, controlling the mouse and programs, including using it for Powerpoint etc. if you ever need to.

sorry i dont know that... but it turns out you can use a router instead of a bluetoothe dongle. if it runs at 2.4ghz that is... which it most probably will.

I doubt you can, bluetooth is far more complex than 802.11. For a start bluetooth uses frequency hopping, 802.11 does not. The fact they both run on 2.4Ghz is about the only similarity.

Can't seem to get the wii-mote on my laptop so he can locate it.

My laptop (Acer Aspire 9300) has bluetooth but isn't accepting any bluetooth devices, when i read the manual on the Net about 'how to install bluetooth devices' it wasn't were it was supposed to be at 'hardware and sounds' (I have Vista)

Is it the bluetooth switch (on the front of my acer aspire 9500) turned on? It doesn't show up unless the switch is turned on.

no device in the neighborhood means it can't find any other bluetooth devices in range. This could mean that either your bluetooth is switched off/not working properly, or the other device is not in discovery mode.
