everyone keeps saying that microsoft's natal and sony's motion wand will destroy the wii. i don't understand how? the ps3/360 is superior then the wii but the wii is destroying these two consoles. so how is having a better motion controller from sony and microsoft going to beat nintendo when nintendo has proven that they already beat them in the machine itself?

.......... wii is "destroying" the 360/ps3? are you high?
i'll admit, Wii is successful w/ the all the buyers, fans, and the games they have but destroying? where do you get this from? sales?

He gets it from his own fanboyism. That much is evident from his last 20 or so threads.

i felt it was really pointless to read through all those fucking gaming articles which is why i stopped looking into those threads.
I read some of them but it's really tedious and annoying to read them all as much as it is pointless...

i'm not too terrified of console wars. big deal. sony has a new weapon to add to their arsenal. it's probably not going to go any where though.

um....i'm no fanboy of any system. i like each console just as equally. i would have a 360 and a ps3 as well if i could afford them, but i only have a wii cause it was cheaper.

The problem with MS's and Sony's motion sensing offerings is that they attempt to transcend the idea of a controller completely. You're not going to get many gamers on board with that idea (not even the Wii fans) ; especially the people who are fans of the 360 and PS3 anyway; a lot of people bought them specifically because they weren't "waggle"ish.

I wish every company would sit down and try to think of practical applications for their technology before they go ape with extreme ideas.

    eww :(

    [me=hYpNoS]dislikes 3rd party controllers after past experiences[/me]

    Here is my take...

microsoft and sony are trying to pick up the stray people in the console market, an excuse to say "who needs a wii" because as I seen...many people own several consoles...and a wii is always te "other" console of choice.

My thoughts-it'll ethier destroy the wii or these devices will fail misrably...which ultra would enjoy XD

Time will tell what will happen, all I know is I won't buy one of those systems just for motion sencing...

    He ain't no fanboy.

Infact a true fanboy wouldn't be here, downloading roms hurt's system sames :)

As you can see I'm not a true fan boy...not any longer...I just prefer nintendo.

Ultra-If you read this stop making so many topics about nintendo and talk about something else that won't make me laugh XD

Walmart has a black Wii remote and WiiMotion Plus deal for $50. I need another Wiimote so I'm totally getting it.

one thing ive noticed in the industry is that whenever companies drop innovative ideas, characters, add ons and systems the side that first came up with the big ticket idea that sells is the one whos mastered that big ticket item.so whatever comes after it will never be as good seeing as how company 1(nintendo) has been doing it for a longer period of time than the other 2,and im not saying that the other 2 wont put up numbers.im just saying that it probably wont be as fun as the wii..and when people realize that they'll just go back to casual gaming on those systems again..or it'll just be a "anything you can do i can do better" kind of technology race like it is now

Except nintendo were not the first to have motion control. Sony PS2 was the first home console to have it (eyetoy) and its been used in arcades for years before eyetoy.
