Tricked into believing that the Solar Empire is developing a devastating super-weapon, Commander Pierce and Colonel Windsor of the Anglo Isles launch a pre-emptive strike on the Coral Atolls. The world is once again at war.
    Graphics/Enviroment - 9.5/10
The Graphics in Battalion Was 2 are nothing short of Amazing, they have amazing clarity, and the peoples look makes the game have more appeal. The smoke that poufs from the tanks and boats looks great, and the explosions are pleasing to the eye.The water reacts to explosions on it, like a tank shell exploding in a river bed would cause a sharp rise in water.

    Sound - 8/10
The sound in this game fits in oh so well to the overall feel of the game, its not like theyve put music in, its like your hearing the true game, it doesnt have huge heavy metal anthems in the background which clunk to the next track, it seamlessly switches from one to the other without you noticing.
The sound quality is amazing as well.

    Plot - 9/10
The plot in Battalion Wars is extremely deep, even sometimes a bit confusing.
The flashbacks are draped in mystery and intruige and the plot drives you on to play more , it makes it that you wish that you could find out the name of that one man, or that place.
Overall a great plot, which keeps you guessing till the end.

    Gameplay - 8/10
The gameplay is fun, enthralling and active. The only problem is it gets a bit repetetive after the third Campaign because it seems that your doign the same things. You cna control any type of unit, including bazooka-men, flamethrower-men, grunts, Tanks, Heavy Tanks, Anti-Air Tanks, Frigates(Anti-Air Ships), Battleships, Fighters, Bombers and Helicopters. All of these have a different way of playing and advantages over the other types which gives it that extra little pinch of strategy and battle tactics. In each mission you get a Rank (S,A,B,C) depending on your strategy and skill and getting all S'es or all A's in a Campaign gets you a secret in the game.

    Lasting Appeal - 6/10
This game has decent lasting appeal, but you wont be playing it till 2010.
The Campaign mode gets too repetetive after a while, but the ranks will make you go back for more to unlock the extras.
The Wifi Mode is fun,but it only has a selection of levels, and you have to play with a choice of two levels at first and then you unlock more, even though you can play locked ones by pressing the 'Join Any' button.
I would say the average play time of the gsame to be between 1-2 months.

    Graphics- 9.5/10
    Sound - 8/10
    Plot - 9/10
    Gameplay - 8/10
    Lasting Appeal - 6/10
    Final Score - 40.5/50

Great review, rorybob. I might eventually pick the game up.. my Wii doesn't get much use.
