Wii 2? is it a hoax or real?

    Iv'e been hearing stuff in the internet referring that Nintendo will create a new console similiar to the Wii which is called "Wii 2" with HD graphics engine but is it real or just a stupid Hoax.

    A stupid hoax.
    1- A Wii with a HD graphics engine, no... lol
    2- The Wii has a cartoony graphics style
    3- The Wii isn't a serious console
    4- The Wii's popularity is still rising so a new one is unlikely

    It's real yeah, the Wii was always meant as a mid-stage while they developed their technology further, call it a sort of massive test stage.
    That said though, I don't think we'll see the new console any time in 2009.

    so that it can follow the future of modern gaming, you get me right?

    PS3 + HD = Top Games
    XBOX 360 + HD = Good Decent Games
    Wii 2 + HD Graphics = Popularity and High income

    I know that but graphics isn't Nintendo's forte nor is it going to make alot of games better. The Wii doesn't simply need a high graphics engine if it's not really useful for most of it's games, not everybody wants serious high graphics either, isn't the Wii's main strong-point it's simplicity?

    yeah i think so, but what if they try this HD Graphics style for there games what will happen? will Nintendo lose its reputation or it can be worse...

    It's not like good graphics automatically equals bad game play, I wouldn't mind seeing a Nintendo console with great graphics, I don't think people would automatically throw out game play.

    I like good graphics with good gameplay but I prefer good gameplay because otherwise it's just a movie...

    if this were true, nintendo would piss the shit out of me (even though i dont own a wii) they just need money, that would be the reasoning behind this if it were real

    i think nintendo's console would be great with better graphics. now developers like ubisoft can start bringing good stuff to wii unlike the cr@p we get like Petz.

    however if nintendo just released the same wii with HD graphics then it will suck, no doubt. nintendo will hav to put a lot more upgrades if they want to make their next console a hit.

    better online, (more) better games would definitly help
