So i was planning on getting one for my friend. A year ago when i bought it it was 70 dollars.

why did it go all the way down to 20$?

Did a new one come out? are they trying to get rid of them? Do r4's suck? whats happenin o.o

I thought the R4 went out of business like the g6 series

It is. It's just because mostly they want to remove them because they're no longer updated, and nearly all of the R4s you can buy are either clones or fakes. So other people won't use them.

The quality of the R4 is rapidly declining due to no new firmware releases and such.

Also at $70 you got ripped off, my CycloDS was cheaper than that and it's ten times better than the R4 ever was...

    Is the CycloDS SDHC compatible?

Lol well now most flash carts are sdhc compatible even the ttds is and its 7 bucks my bro bought one it should be coming in soon :)
On another note If you see the r4 (non-clone) for 20 for 5 bucks more you can get the SCDS-One which is SDHC compatible.

uhmm whats SDHC compatible? and i got one a year ago at this site that was real and not a clone. So do you think the site would stay reliable?

Since then they have shut down. (R4 team that is.)

SDHC is the method for placing the memory in cards 4GB+

SDHC is the higher capacity MicroSDs. SDHC compatible is that the flashcart, device etc. can work with SDHCs to some extent.

So if i got an r4 at the website a year ago, and it was real. Would the website start selling fake ones? o.o

Most likely since finding an "official" R4 will be near impossible at this point and it would no longer have support.

Here's half a dozen different R4's for example. (That are in stock.)
DX alone has more than that though because I don't see the R4i and possibly some others.

Either an Acekard 2 or a CycloDS, both are great quality flash carts.

if you have a DSi then get an Acekard 2i

Same way as you do with a normal flash cart. So far you can only play the old games for it though, not the downloadable ones.
