Why are we here??

Nope this is not a revival of the "how do we prove we exist" thread that was recently locked.

This is simply a thread to post the reason/s why we stay on RomUlation. Because of the ROMs will not be accepted that's down right retarded, because I believe the RomUlation community is more than just that

 

It may sound way too emotional, but the Romulation communty really feels like kinda close family. I'm not here for the roms; I mean, they're all here, and with fast downloads, but if I want them, I can torrent them too. The reason why I still visit Romulation every day is because of the members, and because everyone here can have his own opinion; we respect eachother, and everyone is interested in eachother. Seph and all the other staff members: congratulations on making not only a brilliant website, but also on creating one big cosy community!

 

Yeah not only that, people here have a strong sense of patience, especially towards total noobs or techno-dummies like myself.

Post a stupid really easy to answer question than someone's bound to give you a good answer or advice. Take me for example, there are some things I really don't know to do, like how to make a screen capture of what's currently on my screen. I post the topic, then someone answers, neat!! And not once did I got a "hey moron some thing so simple you didn't know" answer. And when I told I haven't gotten the hand at using photoshop & wanted a sig for myself, someone stepped in & made me one, thanks a million equitypetey!!

Also alot of people sometimes break a rule or two, but the Admins & moderators are patient enough to just warn you, only if you're just a total jerk will you be banned for life. And another thing, I know most of the time, the Admins & moderators get really frustrated when people post stuff in the wrong sections, sure they add something like "people please be sure if what you're posting is appropriate for the section you're posting them in", before they place the "moved to xx section link", but they don't take it out on you.

There is also no need to suck up to or kiss the arse of someone to be noticed here. No one will "do something terrible" to you if they don't like you, yeah they may flame you, but you can report them to the moderators & let them decide what to do with them.

All in all RomUlation really rocks!!

Before I end this post I'd like to tell you all that RomUlation's forum is actually THE first forum I'd actually joined, honest & I'm truly greatful for being an active member!!

 

so seph and everyone on board of sephs ship can earn money for themselves and for maintaining the site.
i sort of feel that seph has control of things here, unlike some boards where there is a lack of obedience. but of course things change and that's the one thing we all fear as it can be bad and it can be good.

 

Yes the rules are enforced in romulation. And I havent been downloading anything from romulation and yet im still here.

 

Lulz. Yep, I'm all about the community. I'm guessing if the site becomes really popular, then the "close family" aspect of the site will diminish.

 

Yep, I've only downloaded a few Roms from the site but they were mostly for my brother, and I still log in everyday on the Forums. Also, because I feel needed I feel proud to be part of this community. And I post 1 or 2 screenshots every now and again. RomUlation is part of my family ;D Long live RomUlation!

well at 1st i came here for the roms...then i reply to some post in the forum, and its been my hang out place since then.....

 

Ive only downloaded 11 roms on my ncard.

Now I just reply in the forums!

 

I wonder if this site will ever reach one hundred active members....I know there are like 20-30.... active in the forums I mean...

Well although I don't come online much anymore I come here because I like the close knit community in Romulation and there are a few individuals that I really like.

I'm here to download. It's the best site I know for downloading.

I go to the forums when there isn't anything to download.
I try to get/set facts straight and share opinions when i can

That's basically why I'm here.

 

I think this forum is really good if you want help with any problem, replies are fast and clear. For the normal topics, I like the sections and people in this forum in general. Lastly it's because of the roms. Keep up the good work

I don't think the "close" family feel would go away if there are more users because in the end you'll hang with those that you are more familiar with.

 

........Bein' in Romulation was just by chance. I was a gamer looking for a place where roms are, with lightning-fast downloading speed. I stay here just by chance too. I think being in an English forum isn't bad, and I've just tried. You are pretty friendly, so I think I'll join Romulation and be here for some long time, I hope so ! ;D Being in a community is good, it teaches us how to behave in real life !.......
