I'm not gonna get the DSi because its region locked and i really don't see the need of its extra features for my use. Ive still got the ds Phat and i plan on keepin it. :)

its region locked!? :O i was thinking about possibly getting one, because i've had my DS phat for nearly 4 years, and its getting old now. but i dont think i will now, the best thing IMO about portable consoles is the region-free they have.

Unfortunately it is region locked. http://www.gamesindustry.biz/articles/dsi-software-will-be-region-locked-confirms-nintendo It's a shame to because i might have bought it if it weren't, bummer.

i'm still happy with my ds lite. but if it looks promising i'm thinking to get one. region locked? hmm to all i suggest getting the asia version(if nintendo really releasing an asia version it will be great). my ds lite is asia version, it can play any japanese and english games. let's just hope the DSi is compatible with flash carts (slot 1 types).

ANY DS can play ANY DS game, regardless of which version it is, the DS is not region locked.
