To me, the worst rappers in the world are the following: 3. Shaquille Oneal 2. Bubba Sparxxx and worst of all, the person that totally ruined hip-hop single handedly..... 1. Soulja Boy This guy is nuts, his rap is wack, and i really do not get why all these teenagers like him. He is a disgrace to rap and music as a whole. Others that are becoming bad: 1. Lil' Wayne- I use to like and respect this guy. His new song though... Prom Queen, just had it for me. I hate when people use machines to change their voice just because they can't sing for shit. 2. Kanye West - See lil' wayne. What are your opinions?
I find it hard to listen to rap. I guess my favorite album would be Scribe's first, "The Crusader", but even that album isn't particularly spectacular.
i agree with all of barthums picks but if anyone remembers will smiths rap career......ya....um also i consider pretty much any rapper who will feature justin timberlake in a song to suck royally. kanye has been mentioned but can never be mentioned enough on a terrible rapper list. crappiness aside can we talk about the actually good rap music out there? i mean a fair portion of pre 2002 rappers who made it big were generally good rappers. i think most rap from the mid ninties is really good i still pop in wu tang quite a bit
rappers that suck...how bout that dude that performed in the face off competion after reaching a tie in that movie call drumline couldn't remember his name....
I full heartedly agree with all of Barathrum's picks too. For me I couldn't stand mainstream rap starting around when things started getting crunk. I also hated the reggaeton fad too. This is too depressing. I need to find the good rap/hip-hop thread.
I lost interest in Rap after the days of Vanilla Ice & MC Hammer, then got interested again when bands like Linkin Park & Limp Bizkit fused rap with rock. But now I don't like rap music anymore, especially with the appearance of local trying hard wannabe local rappers here like Gloc 9 & Salbakuta who really suck ass. And may I ask why the hell do 99.99% of rap music & several R n'B music have making out, or insinuating doing it as their songs' topic or theme, it's so juvinile & annoying. Oh but don't get me wrong, there is one song of this type that I do like, it's "The Bad Raps", you know... One & one we're having some fun....
Now this is just my opinion, but "rap" is not music at all. It's just noise. Slang ridden, self-obsessed, look at how much money I have, over indulgent NOISE. What really upsets me are these white kids here in the states acting like a "Thug" when they grew up in the burbs. To me that just cheapens the image for those who have really had to struggle in life. I have to stop myself there or this will turn into a rant. Besides, that's a topic for a different thread.
I had to go look up what QFT meant loony, I thought no to SMS speak, L33T or internet shorthand on the forum? @apophos: I forgot to mention that too, the over indulgent self-obsessed I've got loads of money bit. Overcoming hardships or teen angst I appreciate, but being a wannabe tough guy, thugz with a ton of Bling is just stupid.
I barely listen to rap these days... but if I can recall, I was hearing about a ridiculous song from Soulja Boy......yeah that song is crap.
I only like Eminem's videos, especially that one where he made fun of Micheal Jackson's nose ;D But his songs in general, nope.
i liked eminem when i was in middle school which was about 8 years ago. people there is good rap out there but it is all old back when they were actually rapping about something real or that really happened and nowadays rappers are guys like game who turned down college scholarships to rap about how hard life is. all the crap nowadays is labeled as rap/hip-hop and that genre can die for all i care, but at least specify which genre you are talking about when talking smack cause there is a pretty huge difference between hip hop crap like lil john lil wayne hell anyone with the word lil in their name and real genuine rap like BIG pac wu tang ect
I've listened to rap for most of my life... Rap has been going downhill. All rappers talk about is money and bitches... The same theme replayed in EVERY DAMN SONG
The stuff they make these days is horrible and they should feel horrible for letting their music turn into the convoluted pile of shit its become now. I could actually listen to the old stuff without it grating on me but these days I go out of my way to avoid listening to it short of some video that actually manages to make it hilarious. Retards Attempting Poetry would probably be the best description for it as far as I'm concerned right now.
