Seriously, Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles for the Gamecube was the best final fantasy game I witnessed for a Nintendo system since FF4. What happened to FFCC? Seems like Ring of Fates and Echoes of Time have this new chibi feel to them and feel nothing like the original, which saddens me. I still enjoyed Ring of Fates and I am looking forward to Echoes of Time. As for Crystal Bearers... I have hopes for this game, but the leaked bonus trailer from the EoT disc in Japan has me worried that the Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles series will never return to the style of it's origin. I miss the unique feel of the GCN game. On top of that it looks prettier than most Wii games. Discuss.
I for one prefer the changes. I like the chibi feel and the fact that you don't have to drag around that stupid crystal cup The jobs of the GCN version were a nice touch and i liked the different years you'd play through.. (only got to year 5 sadly) But i LOVE the pollux engine of the new echos of time, gives the game a whole new feel to it! which is awesome. Overall i think i prefer the Ds games. EDIT: But your right, the series has completely changed since the GCN version.
Nintendo made up to FF6... >_> Anyways, I hated carrying around the chalice. But yea, I really liked the first FFCC. I enjoyed have the hearts much better than having hit points. The chibi look... I can deal with it, as we are playing on a DS, not a GC, not a Wii, but a DS. FFCC for the GC had a major problem though... as you had to repeat the same dungeons over and over and over as the years went by. That was annoying. And it is difficult to keep up with the monsters and bosses are one point, when you are playing solo, as I did. Seeing how the best equipment, scrolls and mats required other players, which none of my friends had the game, I died too often during some bosses. And the last boss was easy compared to like other bosses throughout the cycles.
well i think the FFCC echoes of time was okay... the chibi feel was cute. but you're right, as Valnone says... it really did change. I think the were trying to make the FFCC more... kid-friendly?
