So which Videogaming Genre/s are you very much into?

RPGs (MMORPGs also go under this genre)

    First Person Shooters (FPS)

    Sports (includes Racing games)

Simulations (Includes God Games, Life Management games, Pet care & Vehicle Simulators)

    Platformers

    Survival Horror Games

    Real Time Strategy (RTS)

Arcade Style games (Fighters, dance & rhythm games etcetera)

    Puzzle games

    DS Category: Skill Development/assessment games

Visual Novel style games (example Phoenix Wright) - This genre was originally famous only in Japan, until games like Phoenix Wright introduced the genre to a wider audience

Almost free roaming Action/Adventure games - Like GTA & all it's clones.

Odd games - things like board games that were given videogame renditions or games like "Paint by DS"

Yours truly is an admitted RPG gamer, I love RPGs because a lot of them have great stories to tell. I'm not the graphics fanatic like some people are, even if a game is as ugly looking as "Legend of the Ghost Lion" as long as the story sucks me in I'll play.

I'm also more of the turn based RPG fan, I like games like the Final Fantasy franchise or Dragon Quest franchise where you enter battles on a special battle screen & have to navigate through certain menus to do an action. But I have to admit, this gets old for me over time.

I'm not too keen on MMORPGs because there isn't any grand ending, you just go on endless quests & level up. I know it's a big thing these days, but I just don't like them.

Aside from RPGs I also love puzzle games like Puyo Puyo, Tetris & Bust-a Move because these kinds of games help me keep my mind & reflexes sharp. Sad thing is, a lot of people think these kinds of games are just for kids & don't even bother giving them a glance. But seriously, if you give them a chance, they can be very fun & very addictive. Why the other day I was playing Super Bubble Pop for the GBA, I didn't realize it when I finished the entire game that I was plugging at it for 6 hours straight! That's how much fun I had on that game :D

Sorry, I might be weird, but I like most sports games, for example FIFA and PES. I do like most of the other categories, but sports takes my cake

RPGs are my favorite type of games. If they are dark RPGs even better. By dark RPGs I'm talking about the Shin Megami Tensei titles (Nocturne, Persona series, etc) and the like.

I'm a casual fan of RPGs but since I got my DS I have not been able to stop playing the Phoenix Wright games...

EDIT: Oh and also I prefer more action-based RPGs like Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time...yes, it is turn-based but there's an action element too, which is important to me.

My most favorite is RPG games. I like the RPG games with good storyline and character development. Graphics are a plus but not a requirement for me. I also like to play simulations type of games and puzzle.

i like pnp games, that is pickup and play games. these games are typically games that you pick up the controller and start playing without having to know much and they're typically arcade games. over the years, i have found that i'm getting older and no longer have the patience to have to learn the curve of playing a game or the necessary steps to progress. because of such thinking and mood, i have grew distant of games that require such necessity. such typical games are rpg's, srpg's, simulators [you haven't played a true simulator on a console until you played a true simulator on pc], stealth games like metal gear solid, and some action/adventure games.

not all rpg's are complex as one might think. diablo for instance isn't as complex as like icewindale or baldur's gate 2. there are of course console rpg's that are simple then others such as the ones you find on the 16bit systems as compared to the ps1,ps2 systems.

I find that I'm much more into RPG's and SRPG's a lot. I used to play NFL Blitz when it first came out and I was good at it, but school took over and I stopped playing. I played Fighting games like, Capcom vs. Xmen, Bloody Roar 1 and 2, Marvel vs Capcom, Street Fighter...you guys get the idea.

But I love my RPG's a good story is what I like, I do like the Final Fantasy franchise although I've only beaten Final Fantasy 9 out of all them. Now that I discovered emulators and roms, I plan to beat the first 6 Final Fantasy's.

Strategy games like Final Fantasy Tactics and Disgaea are my favorites. ;D :D

In a general way, RPGs are my favourite, although I have a good bunch of other games that are really much better than any RPG for me: God of War, DBZ Budokai 3, RE4, etc. But the best example of RPG for me is DQ VIII. I am still praying that Square Enix does it for the DS.

Nothing beats kicking ass in a good FPS...

    You know, when you're unstoppable
and everybody wants to be on your team...
