Which Pokemon do People in the Pokemon World Eat?

Yes, yes the topic title is morbid but c'mon let's be honest, the Pokemon world is simply like our own world, but animals & in some cases plants, there are more interesting than the ones we have.

So it's perfectly normal to try & think which Pokemon End up as food

So far here's my current guess as to which Pokemon gets domesticated for consumption:

Pork - I'm guessing Grumpig fits the bill as the "typical" source of pork in the Pokemon World. Pillowswine or swineub might be the Pokemon world's version of Wildboars so yum yum.... But wait, the new 5th Gen Fire starter might be the better source of pork as it already is on fire! So to speak. So yeah, if you have that as your starter & you just can't get over your hunger just command it to "Pokabu use Roast self!" & you'd have roastpig ready for consumption LOL!

Chicken - Combusken probably, or Torchic, if you love "day old chicks" yum yum.

Eggs - Poke eggs perhaps ???

Beef - Miltank probably as Tauros meat looks kinda tough.

Venison (dear meat) - That new 5th gen Shikijika or Stantler perhaps?

Duck - I'd say Psyduck or Golduck, but those are Duck-billed Platypus Pokemon so no. My best bet would be Farfetch'd.

Squid, or rather octopus - Octillery, obviously.

Bananas - Tropius

Vegetables (Radish) - Oddish

Now the stuff I can't find Pokemon versions:

Fish - ???

Turkey - ???

 

I know they can't eat Magikarp, i think Meowth said it's too hard to eat or something in the S.S. Ann episodes.

 

Farfetch'd is served with leeks apparently and Lapras was hunted to near extinction for food.

That's all I can think of for now.

 

Miltank or pokemon like it is one, i've seen hamburgers in the world.

Also... since there have been cakes whichever bird like pokemon with the best eggs are prob. another edible food-source.

Bidoof better be edible, it's not worthy of much else.

Oh- Magikarps, Goldeens, and all those others would be edible too. (kinda, they can be eaten but there would need to be a special way of getting threw the skin and getting any "Non-poisonous" meat out... some might not be good, I know magikarp has rock-hard skin)

Whats really f-ed up here is that pokemon are actually "Smart"

They can understand human speech and can try and talk back, so the idea of eating them is basically cannibalism...

So yeah... creepy realism to the whole pokemon world, neh?

 

I forgot a few things:

Rabbit - your choice? Buneary, Lopunny, whismur, Azumarill

Crab - Krabby or kingler.

Lobster - Corphish or Crawdaunt.

Lamb/sheep - mareep or flaaffy.

Source of honey - Combee hive.

Oysters - Cloyster, shelder or clamperl.

I wish they'd introduce a goat Pokemon soon ;D

And Miltank Brain & Tauros testicles sounds mighty delicious too.

 

Pikachu are quite abundant you know.
And there are plenty of bug insects and krabbys/kinglers.

 

There's always those Slowpoke tails, but other then that people have already listed nearly everything.

Milk will obviously come from miltank
Fish could be remoraid.

 

Just get Mr Mime to make some curry.

 

Farfetch'd conveniently comes with it's own leek.

Does this mean all Pokemon trainers are also vegetarians?

They could eat the mushrooms off the back of Paras and Parasect (although, they are possessed by the mushrooms and may die without them).

 

I wonder what a ditto would taste like? YUM! can't wait to eat it out.

 

Since ditto can turn into any pokemon, it should logically be able to turn into whatever the f*** you want.
A Ferrari for example, or a hot babe, or both.
