I haven't bought one yet, probably will when they get hacked to play roms off of the SD though.

i'm ready to get one but i need to save my money for other things. things are going to get worse as we head towards the fall, as nintendo will have many good things coming out later this year.

there has been good deals on the dsi.
there was a $200 deal from a toys store [dsi unit, rhythm heaven and a carrying combo pack].
there was also a $170 deal also from a toy store with a dsi unit, soul bubbles and a carrying case pack.

i believe nintendo is also giving away dsi points for download [$10-20 dollars, i don't remember].

Haven't yet. I'm unsure of whether they've arrived here in New Zealand yet however.

I'm not planning on buying one, guess they only way I would have one is if it was given to me as a gift.

I got one...but I was planning from the annoucement...

Sad thing is, it sits here...gathering dust...thanks to the psp I got...

Seriously, I want an all in one system, and the ds just doesn't hack it, besides if it lets me more than just resident evil ds or ridge racer ds, I'm good with the psp (trying to get all the ridge racer games on my psp now XD)

Well, the dsi does have higher specs than the ds, not by much of course.
But it could warrant some better gaming from the nintendo side of things.

We'll have to wait and see what happens

The difference in specs is not beneficial enough for a new handheld release

I always said I'd get one if, for some reason, something happened to my DS and I had to invest in a new one anyway. Well, it broke on me (the hinge just snapped one day quite randomly) and although superglue was an okay fix, it was really dodgy and thus my next investment went to the DSi.

Have to say, I was sceptical when I first heard of it, but so far I'm really enjoying it.

Well that's okay you had to get a new handheld but people with their loving DS's still alive should not abandon them :<

Oh ouch. I just saw the DSi console in a store flyer. It's $379. Looks like I'll be steering clear for a while :p

are you serious? you might as well fly to Australia and buy one for 250 or so dollars

    That's strange... It's meant to be US$170... ???

Oh, you're from New Zealand - then $379 seems cheap, considering EBGames over there sells them for $400.
